The Bietighöfer Family has a deep-rooted history in viticulture dating back to the 17th century. Now in the 6th generation, Stefan Bietighöfer’s winemaking style is a dynamic blend of courage, innovation, experience, knowledge and intuition.

Bietighöfer’s 100 acres of biodynamically farmed vineyards are located in the rolling hills of the Southern Wine Route in Pfalz, Germany. Enjoying more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in the country, the mild and dry climate in combination with mineral-rich loess soils creates perfect growing conditions.

While Riesling is king in the Pfalz, Stefan draws his inspiration from his time working in France and focuses on Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Spätburgunder, creating wines that could win over the greatest Francophiles.

Stefan’s wines are bursting with authenticity. They are expressive, yet down-to-earth. Serious but with tongue in cheek.
